Love my blender!, October 24, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender Refurbished (Kitchen) Well, after several attempts and many lemons later (yes, many lemons later) at another website, I was beginning to think that Breville was the Land Rover of blenders. Ya'll know, great eye candy with its all around stainless steel, functional, powerful, and advanced electronics. So I gave Amazon and Breville one last chance, and it was a great move. I love this Blender!! I have made soups, smoothies, and mixed drinks. It does not leak and is easy to clean. It is also powerful and a great deal for you dollar. Have I mentioned that I get so many compliments? Yeah, as long as it works, especially if you buy a refurbished item, you are going to get an awesome blender; and since it comes from Amazon you are not going to have any issues. Enjoy.

Breville blender, August 25, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Breville Ikon Hemisphere Blender Refurbished (Kitchen) Never heard of this company (Electronica Direct), but trusted Amazon, so took a chance. It arrived swiftly...I ordered on a Sat. evening...received in my hand on tuesday morning. I already knew what a good blender Breville produced as a few of my friends already own them, however since mine was more than half the cost as theirs, again, I was leery with this company Electronica Direct. However, so far, so good. Of course as with any new "toy".....you use it quite a bit in the beginning. I only had one issue....the first time I used it, it leaked from the bottom...not a lot, but enough to notice. I think it may have been because I did not have it tightened well. It is hard to use the tightening and loosening tool that comes with it...feels kinda awkward. Hope to get used to it though as I think it would be harder to use your hand. I found this Breville one cheap in comparison to others of it's kind since it was refurbished. I read a lot about the quality of refurbished items and thought I should give it a go. I'm so glad I did. My husband and I have been using it almost every day since we got it. I've never had a blender that worked like this. I like that the pulse button controls itself. You push it once and it pulses on it's own until you stop it. It has a "snow" button that actually makes snow perfectly. We are excited to make snow cones for the kids this summer. I have read things from others about how they like it but, they say it's difficult to take apart. I'm not sure why people think that though. The only thing about unscrewing the bottom it that it's backwards and you have to remember that. It's right to loosen and left to tighten. My husband had wanted... Read more
